Text Banking is a free* and convenient service to check on your account quickly.
The following are text banking command examples and their responses. You can also access a list of these commands via a link in Online Banking during the Text Banking enrollment process. These commands can be sent to 454545.
Get Started
Enrolling
To enroll in Text Banking, log in to Online Banking.
Click on Additional Services > Mobile Banking & Alerts.
The Text Message Banking window will appear on the right side. Click “Start text banking now.”
Enter your mobile number and then click Active.
The *Mobile Verification Agreement will appear, enter the verification code that is sent to your mobile phone, click Accept to agree, and begin using the service. Please note: some prepaid or family plans that block short code texting will not allow text banking.
On the next screen, select your most used account – usually your checking and then it’s recommended that you select “Don’t Allow Transfers” for the question When low, transfer money from, until you become familiar with the service. Additionally, it is advised NOT to add a second number as it will grant Text Banking access to the other number.
You will receive a Success! screen to indicate you are registered. Review the details carefully.
Finally, you will be taken back to the Mobile Banking & Alerts page where you began, and you should notice that the Text Message Banking window on the right now contains more details, including a list of Text Commands.
Lost/Stolen phone, Changing Your Mobile Number, or Disenroll
If your phone is lost or stolen, log into Online banking, navigate back to Additional Services > Mobile Banking & Alerts > Text Message Banking, and then click UPDATE to remove a cell phone number from Text Banking. For security, account numbers are never sent through Text Banking.
Fees
Text banking is a free service. Message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Check with your provider for details.
